CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville High School Varsity Cheer Team is thrilled to announce they are headed to the National High School Cheerleading Competition (NHSCC) at the Walt Disney Resort in Florida. The completion takes place Feb. 9-12.

Last year, the Wildcats placed 8th out of 29 teams at the NHSCC Nationals for the D1 Small Varsity Game Day Division. “This cheer program has a long standing tradition of fostering some amazing athletes,” said Coach Kim Thurman. “The team puts in the work, real hard work, and dedication to their athleticism as well as their being representatives of Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee.”

Sunday night, the Wildcat Cheerleaders hosted a Friends and Family Night to show off their choreography.

“The team leaves Wednesday for Florida with dedication, spirit, and excitement on their hearts,” said Coach Kaitlyn Kinslow. “I know they worked hard for this moment and will come home feeling accomplished.”
