CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- Two Clarksville Fire Rescue officials earned the highest level of certification through the Fire Commission.

Clarksville Fire Rescue- Asst. Chief Randy Ellis and Capt. Michael Welch earned their Fire Officer IV Certification. Each of these fire officers put in over 100 hours of work, plus studying, and then faced a challenging test.

Fire Officer IV is the highest level of certification that a firefighter can get through the Fire Commission. Not many individuals in the state of Tennessee have this certification.

Ellis and Welch are the 66th and 67th person in the state of Tennessee to get this certification.
