CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) Clarksville Academy football and Manna Café Ministries are teaming up this Friday, September 6 to collect food at the Cougars’ first home game against Westmoreland.
Manna Café Ministries will be on site starting at 5 p.m. to collect nonperishable food items that will go to help feed people in Montgomery County.
“We are so excited to be able to participate with Clarksville Academy at this week’s food drive at the football game on Friday night,” said Kenny York, founder of Manna Cafe. “I look forward to seeing everyone there and we appreciate the community helping us feed the hungry in Clarksville-Montgomery County.”
Clarksville Academy head coach JD Sellars said the program is about more than just football.
“As we build our program it’s important to be involved in our community. It’s a great opportunity to partner with Manna Cafe to help give back to the community that supports us so much,” Sellars said.
