CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Chancellor Kimberly Lund has announced her candidacy for re-election to the 19th Judicial District Chancery Court in the May 5, 2026, Republican Primary.

Lund’s legal career spans more than two decades. A 2003 graduate of Michigan State University College of Law, she was admitted to the Tennessee Bar that same year and the Kentucky Bar in 2004. She began in private practice with the Kennedy Law Firm, then served as assistant general counsel for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services and as a field agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. For the next 18 years, she served in the Office of the District Attorney, focusing on violent crimes and crimes against children. In October 2024, Gov. Bill Lee appointed her to the newly created second chancellor position of the 19th Judicial District.

As chancellor, Lund said, she presides with an open mind, a careful review of the facts, and a commitment to applying the law as written. She said she believes Chancery Court is uniquely positioned to strengthen families, protect the vulnerable, and resolve complex disputes with clarity and consistency. “Justice is best served when every person who enters the courtroom is treated with fairness, respect, and dignity,” Lund said. “The law must serve the people with integrity, compassion, and consistency. That is the standard I will continue to uphold.”

Lund has presented for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, the Clarksville Police Department, and APSAC. She participates in Leadership Robertson County and supports local civic and historical organizations. She is active in the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, the Robertson County Republican Party, the Montgomery County Republican Women, Red River Republican Women, and the Kiwanis Club.
