CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Hispanos Emprendedores cut a ribbon Tuesday as a new member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Maria Jimenez, with Hispanos Emprendedores, said the business and its printed publication started three years ago. The idea was to educate and inform the Spanish community with the magazine which comes out quarterly.
Jimenez said she believes that around 30-35 percent of the population in Clarksville speak Spanish. The magazine was created for the local, native speaking Spanish community.
Tennessee Director of Operations for Hispanos Emprendedores, Vanessa Almonte, said her part is connecting with businesses.
“We’re not for profit, we are a business teaching businesses how to grow,” said Jimenez.
Hispanos Emprendedores is open Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. by appointment and their school hours are Thursdays from 6-8 p.m.
