CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Carol Duffin has announced she is running for the Republican nomination to serve as Tennessee state representative in District 68. As a proud conservative, Carol said she believes in strong family values and a strong community as the foundation of our society.

Duffin has been a resident of Clarksville for 25 years, initially moving here when her husband was stationed at Fort Campbell in the US Army, and together they raised three children.

Duffin has a bachelor’s degree in business from Marymount University. She began her professional career in Washington, D.C., as a senior sales executive for a Fortune 500 company and collaborated with institutions such as the US Army, White House, US Congress, US Secret Service and state governments. As an Army wife and mother, she said she deeply values her family’s military ties, with her son currently serving as a field artillery officer at Fort Carson.

While dedicating 18 years to being a stay-at-home parent, Duffin remained deeply involved in her community. She attended School Board and County Commission meetings, volunteered at schools and local charities such as Meals on Wheels and the Foster Care Review Board, and served in leadership roles, including former co-chair of the Montgomery County Republican Party and current member of the Montgomery County Republican Women’s Club.

Duffin said her advocacy work with the Tennessee Legislature further solidified her commitment to ensuring taxpayers’ voices are heard in Montgomery County. Currently working as a travel director for an international meeting and events company, Duffin said her travels have reinforced her belief in the universal desire for vibrant, safe communities with low taxes, high-paying jobs, and excellent schools.

Duffin said her campaign is about standing for what is right, fighting for the issues that impact our families, and working tirelessly to making Clarksville a better place for generations to come.
