CLARKSVILLE, TN – Starting early October, the Black Knights Battalion has been collecting canned and sealed goods for the Loaves and Fishes community center, one of their many service-learning projects (SLPs).

These SLPs show cadets the importance of community service and the impact it has on the community. On Dec. 6. the battalion’s seniors and upperclassmen took the cans down to the center, donating a total of 2,000-plus pounds of food, more than any other year.

The Black Knights are already preparing for upcoming SLPs and planning for future events. A couple being Toys for Tots for YAIPAK and Christmas caroling for veterans.
