MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – A motorcyclist has been arrested for a crash Saturday that injured his wife.

Christopher Bumpus is charged with vehicular assault, DUI, possessing an open container of alcohol and no license or insurance.

He struck a deer on Highway 13 near Montgomery Central High and ran off the road. His wife was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville in stable condition.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Bumpus had a bottle of vodka in his saddlebags.
