April Joy Henderson, age 50 of Clarksville passed away Monday, May 3, 2021, at Tristar Centennial Medical Center.
Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Hurst Cemetery in Rhea County, TN.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 7, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 3 until the hour of service at the funeral home.
April entered this life on July 15, 1970, to the late William Leon Underwood and Mildred Ruth McCandless Underwood. She was a member of Clarksville Seventh-day Adventist Church and enjoyed being active in her community. If April wasn’t in the yard working with flowers, chickens, or watching birds, you could find her volunteering at the homeless shelter and feeding the hungry. Her greatest pride was her family, with whom she loved traveling and attending conventions.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Johnny Henderson; children, Gabrielle Henderson and Elijah Henderson; brother, Michael Underwood; special cousin, Robin; mother-in-law, Nancy Henderson; sister-in-law, Renee Henderson; nieces, Eleanor Underwood, and Wanda Henderson, and nephew, Bobby Gregory.
