CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – There is a slight threat for severe thunderstorms that could bring large hail and damaging straight line winds.
Meteorologist Darrell Massie with the National Weather Service said the heavy weather is part of the same storm system that caused death and destruction in Texas and Arkansas on Sunday.
“The conditions over our area are going to be a different environment so we’re not expecting nearly that level of severity with the storms here,” he said.
Massie said the primary threat from the storms are large hail and damaging straight-line winds.
