CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – 5 Star Radio Group helped Wilburn “Willie” Wilson celebrate his 84th birthday Thursday, March 13 with a surprise party.
Willie is a Cadiz native and a Navy veteran. He has devoted his life to radio through a variety of roles: news director, on-air, producer, general manager, sales manager, and his current position as marketing consultant for 5 Star Radio Group.
He remains active in his church, Cerulean Baptist, and various civic organizations in Cadiz and Trigg County, and spends time with his wife Jo Ann.
“Back in 1955 when I was a disc jockey, I didn’t think I’d be alive, never mind working,” Willie joked. “But I’ve been richly blessed, and I enjoy what I do.”
Willie always has a smile on his face and brings to joy to everyone who works with him. The 5 Star Team is proud to have him on board.
