CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Did you know that up until 40 years ago, the entire Wilma Rudolph Boulevard area wasn’t part of Clarksville?

St. Bethlehem was 11 square miles northeast of the Red River, on both sides of U.S. Highway 79, roughly out to I-24, and east to just past Warfield Boulevard. In 1986, after a heated debate and a public referendum, the annexation of St. B narrowly passed with just 54% of the vote.
