Clarksville, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Three Clarksville-area athletes from Kirkwood High School and Rossview High School have signed to play college baseball at Bethel University. Hawks infielder CJ Lattimore, Cobra’s pitcher and catcher Matthew Dirks, and Gavin Rogers all signed their letters of intent on Tuesday.
Lattimore, who usually plays third base for the Hawks, is coming off a junior season where he batted .343 and knocked in 26 RBIS, while stealing 12 bases. Lattimore’s Hawks are off to a 12-1 start, and hope to make a trip to the state tournament in Murfreesboro.

Catcher Gavin Rogers had an on-base percentage of .522 last year for the Cobras, and he and his partner in crime, pitcher Matthew Dirks, who has an ERA of 2.10 this season, look to win the Cobras first postseason game in program history this year.
