CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Jenna King, a local 9-year-old girl currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments for leukemia, was honored at on April 10 at at Mericourt Park the opening ceremonies for Clarksville National Girls Softball.
The little league teamed up with Montgomery Central Little League and raised over $10,000 for Jenna, who was present along with family members. The APSU Softball team also presented Jenna with gifts including a bat and helmet. City of Clarksville Chief of Administration Charlie Gentry was also present at the event.
Jenna threw the ceremonial first pitch during the presentation.
The community has held other fundraisers through the campaign known as “We Are Jenna Strong“.
