CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – For families looking for a pumpkin patch experience this year, a handful of farms in Montgomery County offer fun experiences starting this weekend.
Here are several nearby farms for families looking to find those perfect pumpkins, courtesy of Pick Tennessee Products.
Head Peach Company
Head Peach Company‘s Fall Stand and Pumpkin Patch, located at 222 Mt. Carmal Road, will open for business on Sept. 26 and run through Oct. 31.
According to owner Julie Head, their farm is more than just peaches. “This fall, we’ve grown nearly 5 acres of pumpkins, offering a wide variety of jack-o’-lantern pumpkins, specialty and decorative pumpkins, mums, corn stalks, straw bales and more,” Head told Clarksville Now.
She said they began growing pumpkins around three years ago, and visitors can explore their 3-acre pick-your-own pumpkin patch or stop by their farm stand to shop for stacking pumpkins, jams, salsas, local honey and other fall favorites.

Fridays and Saturdays also include an opportunity to make your visit a full day of fun on the farm with an activity wristband. “Wristbands include access to our 3-acre corn maze, tractor rides around the farm, a giant slide, gravity wagon basketball, yard games and more,” Head said.
The Head Peach Company’s Fall Stand and Pumpkin Patch will operate on Mondays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., then Wednesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The fall stand and pumpkin patch will be closed Tuesdays and Sundays. General admission will be $7, except for children under 3.
Boyd’s Pumpkin Patch
Boyd’s Pumpkin Patch in Adams has their opening day scheduled for Friday, Sept. 25. You can pick your own pumpkins for $2-$7, as well as enter their corn maze for $5. Ages 5 and under are free, and there is no entry fee into the patch, Julia Boyd told Clarksville Now.
According to their website, Boyd’s has been growing pumpkins since 1984, and what started as a one-man operation has grown into the family business it is today.
Following opening day, Boyd’s will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. from Wednesday to Sunday. Boyd’s is at 3812 Harmony Church Road in Adams, 6 miles from the original location on Highway 76.
H&S Farms
H&S Farms in Cunningham will have their opening Fall at the Farm weekend on Saturday, Sept. 26, as well as Sunday, Sept. 27. Throughout October, the Fall at the Farm event will continue to operate on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sundays from noon-5 p.m.
Admission into H&S Farms Fall event includes access to a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, a playground, a jungle gym, as well as a large corn pit. Also included are barrel train rides, duck races and Highland cows. General admission into the Fall at the Farm event is $15 per person, free for ages 2 and under, then $7.50 per senior (60-plus).

Also being held in October is H&S Farms third annual Fall Festival, which is being held this year on Saturday, Oct. 10, with vendors, live music, games and food trucks.
H&S Farms is at 500 Seven Mile Ferry Road in Cunningham.
Patterson Place Farm
Patterson Place Farm‘s 25th annual Pumpkin Patch will open Saturday, Sept. 26, with a celebration in Woodlawn. The event will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and those hours will also apply every Saturday in October.
Patterson Place Farm has a pumpkin patch, hayrides, a petting zoo and all sorts of children-oriented amenities.
“We love sharing our love for agriculture with our community. The last 25 years of this family farm pumpkin patch has been such a blessed time, and now our son is taking such a leadership role, so we are hoping for another 25 years,” Emily Albright told Clarksville Now.
Patterson Place Farm is at 2480 Patterson Road.
