Wade Hampton Morgan of Cunningham, 31, was born on August 5, 1983 to David and Barbara Morgan in Clarksville, TN.
Wade departed this life and entered the arms of his Savior on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Wade was employed by Morgan Contractors, Inc. and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was also president of the Central Civitan Club.
Wade graduated from Montgomery Central High School in 2002, where he was “Mr. Central” and manager of many sport teams. He loved God, his family, his church, MCHS, Central Civitan Club, and the Cunningham Community. He loved golf and was most proud of his “hole in one” at the Arthur Hills Golf Course on Hilton Head Island, SC.
Wade is often remembered for his contagious smile, gentle spirit, generous heart, and his love for his nieces and nephew.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Salem United Methodist Church, 2269 Seven Mile Ferry Road, Clarksville, TN 37040. Presiding will be Rev. Brian M. Marcoulier and Brother Phillip Chambers. The family will have a private burial. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015, at Salem United Methodist Church and from noon until the hour of service on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Salem United Methodist Church.
Wade was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Reverend Roy West and Cecil Morgan, Sr. and grandmothers, Martha Morgan and Mary Morgan.
Survivors include his parents; brothers, Sam (Jessica) Morgan of Clarksville, TN and David (Kathy) Morgan, Jr. of Dover, TN; grandmother, Margaret West of Dickson, TN; two nieces, Ashley Morgan of Dover, TN and Briley Morgan of Clarksville, TN; nephew, Colten Morgan of Clarksville, TN; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Justen Grubb, Dale Lyle, Jamie Schmid, Tyler Schmid, Daniel McCaslin, Seth Morrison, Garrett Wallace, and Alec Lyle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 2269 Seven Mile Ferry Road, Clarksville, TN 37040 or a church of your choice.
