HOUSTON COUNTY, Tenn. – Friends and loved ones of a mother and daughter killed in a Houston County house fire are asking the community for help to raise funds for a memorial.
Jennifer Strickland, 38, and her 12-year-old daughter Kaitlyn Knight died Friday in a fire that occurred on Clay Tomlinson Road. Other family members in the home at the time were able to escape.

According to the GoFundMe account, the family does not have money for a memorial or burial. As of Monday afternoon, $1,530 has been donated, but the family has set a goal of $5,000.
