PANGKALAN BUN, Indonesia (AP) — There’s growing optimism that searchers are closing in on the black boxes from the AirAsia plane that crashed two weeks ago.
Officials say Indonesian ships searching the Java Sea have detected pinging sounds coming from two separate areas about 20 yards apart.
The area is near where the rear section of the aircraft was found.
