Donald Eugene “Popaw” Smith, age 72, of Palmyra passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his residence.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. A private Memorial Service was held.
Mr. Smith was a retired carpet installation specialist.
He was born in AL on February 9, 1942 to the late Malcom Eugen and Martha Lee Sayers Smith. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Smith; son, Alan V. Smith; daughters, Christina (Greg) Wofford, Donna Leann (Michael) Herrell; brothers, Ronnie Smith, Gary (Marty) Gibson, David Gibson; sisters, Joyce (Hal) Bridges, Ann Orr; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild on the way.
