Updated with statement from Chris Lanier.
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – State Rep. Ronnie Glynn has handily won re-election for a third term representing House District 67, defeating Republican challenger Chris Lanier.
“I’m excited about the way that I won as well, given the constant attacks and all that, which seems to be the playbook of the other side for the last three cycles,” Glynn told Clarksville Now. “Obviously, I run for other people. I’m going to continue to do what I’ve been doing, which is serving the constituents and doing what I need to do to make sure that I make lives better for people in my county.”
Glynn won the Clarksville district with 63% of the vote to Lanier’s 37%.

Glynn spoke about what he believes led to his victory. “I’m always in the community,” he said. “I’m always trying to make lives better and talk to people across the county to see what’s going on, to see what their issues are, because I care about them. … So that’s always been something that I believe you have to do as a politician: keep in touch with voters, let them know what’s going on, never shy away, and just be there when they need you.”
In a campaign statement, Lanier thanked his supporters and team.
“I ran because I believe our district deserves a representative who lives here, understands our community, and is truthful with the people they hope to serve. Truth and integrity matter in a campaign, and they matter just as much after Election Day,” Lanier said.
“Though the results weren’t what we hoped for, I’ll keep showing up for the neighbors and community I call home.”
