CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – State Rep. Ronnie Glynn is running for re-election to the Tennessee General Assembly, District 67.
Glynn grew up in rural Tennessee and said he understood from an early age that building a good life takes hard work, sacrifice, and a willingness to step up when your family and community need you. He joined the U.S. Army and planned to serve for five years. Instead, he spent 23 years serving his country, including three combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division, 7th Special Forces Group, and 101st Airborne Division before retiring as a master sergeant in 2014.
After retirement, he became a mentor to young people through Big Brothers Big Sisters and TN Achieve and worked to help bring a Boys & Girls Club to Clarksville. He also built his own businesses, including Jumpmaster Inflatables and Jumpmaster Trucking. Today, Glynn and his wife, Sherry, are proud parents of four adult children and have 14 grandchildren.
Glynn said he is running for re-election because he believes Tennessee families deserve a state government that works for them, not against them. He said every child deserves a great public education, veterans deserve to be treated with dignity, working families deserve opportunity, and Tennesseans should have the freedom to make their own decisions about their lives.
He said public service has always been about people. Glynn said he is running to listen, to fight for his community, and to make sure the next generation has the same opportunity to build a good life that he has been fortunate enough to have.
Tennessee House District 67 includes the center of the city of Clarksville, roughly from the state line to the Bypass.
