CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With the dust settled from the August Montgomery County elections, the new County Commission was sworn in Monday, along with our new sheriff, School Board members and other county officials.

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the County Courthouse in Commission Chambers. All of their terms begin Sept. 1, 2026.

What happens next in local elections?

Election Day for State General and City of Clarksville Election will be Nov. 3, with the mayor and half the City Council seats on the ballot. The voter registration deadline is Oct. 5. Early voting will be Oct. 14-29.
