Leslie “Alec” Donald Tinsley, 74, of Clarksville, TN, died on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 1, 1938 in Dickson, TN to the late William Jessie Tinsley and Maudie Louise Walker Tinsley. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, J.D. Tinsley, Jr. Tinsley, and William Tinsley.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Michael Koontz and Brother Craig Cross officiating. Burial will be in Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Alec was a member of Little Hope Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Scott) Biter of Clarksville, TN and Deborah (Keith) Jackson of Cunningham, TN; brother, Talmadge “Joe” Tinsley of Clarksville, TN; three sisters, Elise (Earl) Harrison of Clarksville, TN, Bea McCormick of Clarksville, TN, and Maybelle Conaster of Cunningham, TN; four grandchildren, Leslie Myers, Venn Biter, Christopher (Katie) Jackson, and Bradley Jackson; and two great grandchildren, Addison Jackson and Haley Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Stan Hale, Bradley Jackson, Randy Tinsley, Scott Harrison, Christopher Jackson, Venn Biter, Danny Tinsley, and Bud Devine. Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie Myers and Talmadge “Joe” Tinsley.
