LOUISVILLE, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – University of Louisville women’s basketball sophomore guard and former Clarksville High superstar Imari Berry has been named ACC Sixth Player of the Year, the conference announced on Tuesday. Berry was also named 2nd team All-ACC.

Berry was tied for the leading scorer for the Cardinals, averaging 11.4 points a contest. Berry put up the most points by a Louisville player this season when she scored 33 points and added 12 rebounds in an 88-80 win over NC State. She’s the first Cardinal to win the award since Dana Evans in 2019.

Berry and the No. 2-seeded Cardinals will begin their postseason journey in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament on Friday after earning a double bye. The last time Louisville won the ACC conference tournament was in 2018.
