Maggie Lee Oliver, age 94, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. George Adair officiating. Burial will follow at Nanney-Hollis Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Maggie entered this life on July 24, 1930 in Montgomery County, TN to the late David Lee Hollis and Maggie James Hollis. She was a member of Walton’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was skilled in cooking and hosting family and friends at her home. Her home was a warm and loving environment. Not only did she host and prepare meals for family and friends, but she also had childcare within her home. She would love and care for the children as if they were her own.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Willard Oliver; grandson, Mason Oliver, and siblings, Gilmer Hollis, Gladys Batey, Rebecca Hurtt, and Raymond Hollis.
Survivors include her children, Ed Oliver, and his wife, Melissa, Julie Ann Berry, and her husband, Wilbur; grandchildren, Craig “Yogi” (Carolyn) Peters, Rip Oliver, and Staci Turner; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Peters and Edison Peters.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Batey, Danny Krantz, James Jennings, Jace Meadows, Jay Rye, Matthew Hurtt, and Ken Hollis.
