CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Industrial Park continues to grow with more businesses and industries, however, food options are limited for people wanting to stay away from Wilma Rudolph Boulevard during rush hour.
That’s why Carlo Burzi, alongside his wife Jenny, decided to open a restaurant that not only alleviates drive time issues, but also introduces true-authentic Italian cuisine.
We Love Emilia is expected to open this month with menu items such as Tortellini; Polpette al Sugo, a meatballs-based dish; and Rosemary Patate, a French fries dish. The Italian restaurant will also include desserts like Crostata della Jenny with Marmalade and Tiramisu.
How it started
Burzi is the CEO of Hydro Design, which produces tile products such as mosaics. He owns the building next door, and there was a room that was originally used for office space. After conversations with his wife, Burzi decided to transform the office space into a restaurant with an outdoor patio.
With the transformation, he looks forward to bringing in great quality food and an intimate dining experience, while also giving Industrial Park employees another dining option.
“This area is very cozy, small; there is an open kitchen so you’re going to see pizza cooking, pasta being prepared, all by hand. There is also no TVs,” Burzi told Clarksville Now. Spending time with your family and friends is a major part of the experience.

The restaurant focuses on fresh, homemade food. Nothing is frozen, which is why some dishes may not be available if ingredients are not in season. An ever-changing menu allows the staff to make sure food preparation is done correctly, such as making pasta from scratch.
We Love Emilia is scheduled to begin operations with a soft opening on Friday, Aug. 23, from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Burzi said he is still recruiting staff members, so hours of operation may vary while they are getting started. We Love Emilia is at 1020 Smokestack Road.
The new restaurant will be right on the edge of the Industrial Park, near the corner of Alfred Thun Road and Corporate Parkway Boulevard.
Josh Ward, VP of Industrial Development for the Clarksville-Montgomery County IDB, said, “With 5,000 jobs coming to the industrial park over the next few years, we are excited to welcome new restaurants and retail options for manufacturing employees and the surrounding communities.”
