Lynne passed away on June 21, 2024, at 9:06 PM at Tennova Hospital, Clarksville Tennessee, from septic shock, and now ready to meet her Heavenly Father.

Lynne was born in Philadelphia on 15 Oct 1948 at Olney Hospital. She grew up in places such as Kennington Pennsylvania, Magnolia, Haddonfield, and the Hadden Heights New Jersey and then Levittown Pennsylvania. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1966. After high school, she worked at Pomeroy’s Department Store and Nabisco. On April 15, 1967, she married Richard Galbraith who was completing Air Force basic training. Together they enjoyed a 24-year military career living in places like Maryland, Ohio, New Jersey, North Dakota, New Mexico, England, Germany, and Virginia. Lynne spent a number of years working as a staff member and secretary for Red Cross. In North Dakota, she worked at Designer Tee-shirts, Mr. Steak, and King Richard’s. She also was a substitute teacher in New Mexico for the underprivileged, and for special needs students in Landstuhl Germany. Lynne also received an associate’s degree Criminal Justice from the University of New Mexico at the Alamogordo campus. In Virginia, she worked for JCPenney as a saleswoman, financial assistant and supervisor, retiring after 20 years of service. Lynne loved a good laugh and great entertainment, and enjoyed being with her family, traveling, and going to the theater to see her favorite musicals. She also loved her pets over the many years: Mandy, Pumkin, Shaylee, and Scarlet. Lynne, a beloved wife and mother, grandmother, and great grandmother will be sorely missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Isabel Fertig. She is survived by her two sisters: Pat Miller and Theresa Haag, her husband: Richard, her children: Scott, Brittany, and Christine, her grandchildren: Austin, Holly, and Annelise, and her great grandchildren: Ryann, Tegan, Brayden, Chase, and Holden.

There will be a private family Celebration of Life held by the family.
