CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville High senior guard Imari Berry had been nominated as a finalist for the Miss Basketball Award at the 4A level during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
While she failed to win the award following her first two nominations, Berry finally broke through and was named the 2024 Miss Basketball Award winner on Wednesday, March 12. With the recognition, Berry became the first Miss Basketball Award winner in the city of Clarksville’s history.

Meanwhile, the Clemson signee is the third student-athlete to be selected as a Mr. or Miss Basketball Award winner with the previous two winners being Alex Poythress (Mr. Basketball 2012) from Northeast High and Malcolm Smith (Mr. Basketball from 2010 and 2011) from Clarksville Academy.
The award came after a season where Berry broke the career scoring record at Clarksville High, set by the legendary Basharra Graves. Berry also helped contributed to the Wildcats 31-1 record and second consecutive state tournament appearance.
Now, Berry can turn her attention to Clemson University women’s basketball, where she will be the highest rated recruit in program history.
