CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – West Creek Middle School students, faculty, and staff came together May 15 to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Students made signs to carry along with them proudly stating their event title, “Walk for a Cure”. The day was a huge success, nearly doubling their goal and raising $3,250. Walk coordinators say this will be a yearly event for West Creek Middle School.
The CF Foundation’s mission is to find a cure for cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for people living with the disease. This is accomplished by funding research and working to provide access to quality care and effective therapies for people with CF. Through Foundation efforts, the life expectancy of a child with CF has doubled in the last 30 years, and research to find a cure is more promising than ever before.
The Clarksville CF Foundation hosts events year-round to benefit CF research and improve the lives of our CF families. To find out how you can help, call 931-980-8837.
The CF Foundation’s largest national fundraising event, the Great Strides Walk, will be held June 28 at Legend’s Bank in Downtown Clarksville. For more information, visit www.cff.org/greatstrides.
