CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Produced by The Downtown Clarksville Association, First Thursday Art Walk is a free, self-guided tour spanning a 5-block radius that combines visual art, live music, engaging events and more in the heart of Downtown Clarksville.
The May Art Walk will be held May 1st, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the shops and galleries on Public Square, Franklin Street, and Strawberry Alley. The participating businesses are listed below:
The Downtown Artists Co-op (96 Franklin Street)

On May 1 during the “Clarksville First Thursday Art Crawl” the Downtown Artists’ Co-op is hosting its first “Founders’ Celebration” from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Edward’s Steakhouse (107 Franklin Street)
ARTIST INFORMATION:
Edward’s Steakhouse is proud to host Sid during the May First Thursday Art Walk.
New to Clarksville, Sid is ready to make an impression on Tennesseans a Songwriter/Pianist/Keyboardist.
Edward’s Steakhouse will also host local artist Tracy Bettencourt. She lost her sight 6 years ago. And now paints totally blind and is a student at APSU.
The Framemaker (705 North 2nd Street, Ste B)

Portraits of a Trip: New Work by Jared Cleghorn
The Framemaker proudly presents new work by artist Jared Cleghorn. This exhibit is part of Clarksville’s First Thursday Art Walk on May 1, 2014. An opening reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The photographs will remain on display at the Framemaker throughout the month of May during normal business hours (Mon. through Fri. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.).
The Runner’s Hub (127 Franklin Street) hosts group runs around Historic Downtown Clarksville every Thursday evening at 5:30.
The Roxy Regional Theatre – Peg Harvill Gallery (100 Franklin Street)
ARTIST INFORMATION:
The Peg Harvill Gallery at the Roxy Regional Theatre is pleased to host local artist Peggy Bonnington for the May First Thursday Art Walk.
Please note: The Peg Harvill Gallery will only be open until 6:30 p.m., due to a performance of “Les Miserables.”
Additional gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9am – 2pm.

The May First Thursday Art walk will be the final day of Trespass Gallery’s grand opening exhibit “OPEN”.

The Clarksville/Montgomery County Arts and Heritage Development Council will host an opening reception for an exhibit by Kenwood High School art students of Leigh Averitt-Neperud and Northeast High School art students of Elizabeth Ryan from 5 to 6 p.m.
