CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – YouTube personality Blippi will be making a special visit to Clarksville to meet one of his biggest fans, 3-year-old Layla, who won a contest with the help of friends, family and the community at large.

Blippi is a popular YouTuber known for his orange and blue outfit as well as his bright, energetic personality, which he uses to teach kids about numbers, letters, colors and more. His channel has over 15 million subscribers.

Blippi recently held a contest asking fans to send in their own videos. The contestant to receive the most votes would receive a visit from Blippi himself, and that contestant was Clarksville’s own Layla Breil.

Blippi announced the winner Tuesday evening via a video posted to Facebook. “I’m so excited to fly to you (Layla), film a video together, hang out all day and learn so much,” said Blippi in the video.

‘The adventures they’re going to have’

Layla’s mom, Lauren Briel, told Clarksville Now they were surprised to hear the announcement, but that she and Layla couldn’t be happier.

“We’re in absolute shock. I’ve been pinching myself over and over again. I just cant believe she actually won,” she said. “We’re just so excited and thrilled for her. … I can only imagine the adventures they’re going to have together.”

Lauren said they were still working out the details with Blippi, but that the event is expected to be held at Mochas and Minis, where the Briel family filmed their contest video.

Layla is excited to meet her favorite YouTuber. “I’m going to play, and I’m going to go in the ball pit and play around with him in Tennessee. I’m so excited,” Layla said.
