Contributed commentary from retired Circuit Court Judge Ross Hicks:
I’ve known Chancellor (Laurence) McMillan since 1992 when he returned to Clarksville to practice law. We practiced together for five years, and we served together as judges for 17 years. There is likely no one who knows Chancellor McMillan’s legal abilities better than me. He is unquestionably an outstanding judge.
This judicial district needs Chancellor McMillan’s knowledge, skill and experience, particularly now because all of the judges who were on the bench when he and I began our judicial careers have recently retired. Experience matters as a judge, and I encourage all of you to vote to keep Chancellor McMillan on Aug. 4.

Contributed commentary from retired Circuit Court Judges Ted Crozier:
As a lifelong Republican, retired Army officer and retiring Circuit Court judge, I wholeheartedly endorse Chancellor McMillan’s candidacy for re-election. I’m uniquely qualified to make this endorsement. I served as Clerk and Master under Chancellor McMillan for 12 years. I served alongside him as a judge for six years.
I can say without hesitation that Chancellor McMillan is a gifted jurist. He understands complicated matters quickly. He runs his dockets efficiently. His opinions are well written and timely. Experience matters as a judge, and this judicial district needs to re-elect Chancellor McMillan.
