CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Taco John’s is ready to open their new Clarksville location, with a grand opening on Tuesday that will feature Austin Peay State University cheerleaders with the Gov, and a year of Olés for the first 100 guests.
Located on Riverside Drive, Clarksville’s first Taco John’s in many years will highlight digital menu boards, free Wi-Fi and a double drive-thru, according to a news release.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will start at 10 a.m. on May 31, with assistance from APSU special guests. The first 100 visitors will receive a golden ticket valid for a free small order of Potato Olés every week for one year. Potato Olés are round bites of crunchy potato sprinkled with a signature blend of spices, the release said.
At one point, in the 1990s, Clarksville had two Taco John’s locations, one at 1018 S. Riverside Drive and another at 1461 Fort Campbell Blvd., according to Leaf-Chronicle archives. The new location will be at the other end of Riverside, at 955 N. Riverside Drive. This will be the fifth Taco John’s in Tennessee and 373rd systemwide.
“We are very excited to continue growing our Tennessee presence and open our first location in Clarksville,” franchisee Kevin Newell said. “We picked this location because of its proximity to popular areas including Austin Peay University, McGregor Park and the Cumberland Riverwalk. We believe it will be the perfect destination for the community to come together and enjoy our bold take on Mexican fare before heading out for an adventure.”
Taco John’s will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to midnight. Breakfast will be served every day from 6-10:30 a.m.
