CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Dunbar Cave State Park has a new manager: Tennessee State Parks Ranger Preston Williams. Williams will serve as manager of both Dunbar Cave in Clarksville and Port Royal State Park in nearby Adams in Robertson County.
“I feel excited and energized to manage both parks. There’s a lot of similarities between the two but there are differences as well. It’s going to take a lot of hard work and willpower. The foundation is already there, but to lead them into the future and improve them, it’s going to be a fun time,” Williams said.

Williams said Dunbar Cave and Port Royal are special places for a multitude of reasons. “One of the most important reasons is the people: the people who visit these parks and the park staff that keep these places safe and enjoyable,” he said.
He also talked about the stakeholders and partners who share their expertise and partner with them to make the parks better. “One of my biggest priorities will be strengthening our connections with the communities we serve,” Williams said.
