CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – “The DAC is in the midst of a renaissance,” says Terri Smith, the new public relations director for the Downtown Artists Co-op. “Together with our senior members, the young artists, photographers, sculptors and jewelry designers are changing the face of DAC.”
The change will be seen during the 12th Annual DAC Auction from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at F&M Bank’s Franklin Room at 50 Franklin Street.
The artists at DAC have donated an array of original paintings, photographs, jewelry and more for the live and silent auction. Guests will be served hors d’oeuvres provided by Catering by Margie and accompanying wines.
The event is $15 per person and is open to the public; tickets can be purchased at the DAC Gallery, 96 Franklin Street, at F&M Bank or at the door. Funds raised will go to supporting art education and the local arts community.
Works on auction will include those by DAC artists Beverly Parker, Betty Pierce Liles, Bob Privett, Gail Meyer, Peggy Scoville Bonnington, Judy Jones Morgan, Leah Foote, Shane Moore Photography and more.
Also included are auction items from other well-known area artists such as Olen Bryant, Susan Bryant and Billy Renkl.
According to its mission station, the DAC is “an association of talented local artists and interested patrons dedicated to promoting the visual arts in the Clarksville/Montgomery County area.”
