CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Several candidates have made campaign announcements and picked up petitions at the Montgomery County Election Commission for the May 3 County Primary.
Note that this will be a party primary to select party nominees. They are identified below as R (Republican) or D (Democrat), along with I (independents). The party nominees who win in May will run against one another and all independents in the County General Election, coming up on Aug. 4.
More candidates are likely still coming: They have until Feb. 17 to qualify. Also, the Circuit Judge, Chancellor, District Attorney and District Public Defender races will include candidates who registered in Robertson County.
