CLARKSVILLE, TN – Chartwells Higher Education, a recognized leader in contract foodservice management, hosted “Thank-Ful” – a nationwide Thanksgiving event that took place at over 300 U.S. college and university campuses. On Nov. 18, APSU students joined millions of others nationwide to simultaneously partake in Thank-Ful and to celebrate togetherness, give thanks, and fight food insecurity.

Thank-Ful was held at the Morgan University Center and featured a Friendsgiving-style meal with Thanksgiving staples such as turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, and homemade pies. The event also provided students with an opportunity to show their gratitude for someone or something they appreciate with a thankful wall covered in thank you notes and letters.

“The Thank-Ful event was a great opportunity for our students to come together in a school-wide ‘Friendsgiving’ celebration and be together as a campus,” said Corey Choate, senior director of Dining Services at APSU. “We also love that the event provided a unique opportunity for many to give back to our community and help fight food insecurity our students and community may face.”

As a part of Thank-Ful, APSU students and Chartwells participated in community give-back activities to help fight food insecurity on campus and in the local community. Chartwells donated 100 student meal vouchers and 425 pounds of canned food to the APSU student food pantry to help combat food insecurity on campus.
