CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Agents and deputies recently discovered 34 firearms and more than 15 pounds of meth at a home in Palmyra, southwest of Clarksville.

The 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit were carrying out a search warrant in the 2000 block of Broome Road, according to MCSO spokeswoman Sandra Brandon.

They discovered 34 firearms, marijuana, assorted pills, drug paraphernalia, and more than 15 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of about $190,000. Agents also recovered approximately $72,000 in cash, Brandon said.

A man and two women were arrested on drug, weapons and theft charges.

“These arrests and removal of drug from our streets is the just beginning of what is going to take place throughout our county,” said Sheriff John Fuson. “With the growing demand for service related to illegal drugs on the rise, adjustments have been made within my office to ramp up those enforcement efforts. If you are a drug dealer in Montgomery County, we are going to find you and shut you down.”

Broome Road is in between Highway 149 and Highway 13 in the Oakridge neighborhood.

This is an ongoing investigation with more arrests and charges possible.
