CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – For the first time, there were two COVID-19 deaths reported in one day in Montgomery County on Tuesday, bringing the total deaths here to 18.
Smith also announced an apparent problem with the reporting of active cases from the state.
“Although the average recovery time is less, positive cases stay in the ‘Active’ category for 21 days. After 21 days, cases are supposed to move to the ‘Recovered’ category. But there seems to be an issue with the algorithm. It may take days or weeks for the state to fix this issue,” Smith said.
The active cases reported by the state for the last few days have been:
- Sunday: 1,097
- Monday: 1,074
- Tuesday: 1,057
