CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) –  Manna Café Ministries, in partnership with New Providence United Methodist Church and Liberty Church, is opening an emergency warming center in response to extreme cold overnight temperatures.

The center will open Monday at 4:00 p.m. at New Providence United Methodist Church, 1317 Ft. Campbell Blvd. and will remain open until Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. The emergency warming center will then be moved to Liberty Church, 613 E. St. and re-open Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. and will stay open until Thursday at 8:00 a.m.

Manna Cafe is asking for the community to donate their time and items to help the warming center operate. Along with volunteers, other needs include blankets, socks, gloves, underwear, produce, snack items, bottled water, breakfast items, plastic ware, coffee cups, coffee creamer, plates, and bowls.

The donated items can be dropped off at Manna Café, 605 Providence Blvd or at the emergency warming center sites.
