MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Health Council (MCHC) recently announced that it has completed its comprehensive Mental Health Directory, and that the document is ready for distribution to the public.
The project was announced last year. The Directory, created by a team of council members and APSU interns, lists mental health resources in the community, including information on hours, provided services and accepted insurance plans.
The MCHC will begin distributing hard copies of the Directory to various health providers and social service offices in September. Funds for the printing of hard copies have been donated by the Mental Health Cooperative.
A digital copy of the Directory is currently available for viewing and download here.
The Montgomery County Health Council is a volunteer organization that works to promote health and wellness in the community. Members meet on the third Tuesday of each month on the second floor of the Montgomery County Health Department.
Anyone interested in joining the MCHC can contact Carlye Sommers at cmsommers@mgtn.net or 931-245-1867 or attend a meeting. Visitors to meetings are always welcome.
