“We’re completing houses on Reynolds St. and Cedar St. and expect to dedicate them by the end of January,” said President Kevin Underwood. “We’re also building a house on Edmonson Ferry Rd. with Eddie Burchett as the General Contractor. We provide the materials and he’s handling the entire build process. Chris Blackwell is doing the same thing for another house and we look forward to announcing completion dates later this spring.”

The dedication of new Habitat homes comes after families have completed their work hours or sweat equity and complete the closing process. Qualified homeowners must complete an application process and help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay the monthly mortgage, provided by Habitat at 0% interest.
It’s a core belief of Habitat for Humanity that decent shelter helps build strong, stable communities and strengthens families to live independently.
Habitat for Humanity MCTN is celebrating its 27th year serving low-income families in our community and has built nearly 100 homes since 1992.
