CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) Northwest High School senior Hunter Silverstrim has been selected as 1 of 10 male students to represent the state of Tennessee as a US Presidential Scholar nominee.

The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors.

Later this month, Hunter will complete an application to become a national Semifinalist with the opportunity to earn a trip to Washington, D. C. in June and receive the U.S. Presidential Scholars medallion at a ceremony sponsored by the White House.

Northwest High School is very proud of his nomination and wishes him luck as he continues this process.
