CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) The name of the event says it all which are the feelings everyone shared at the 10th Annual Warm Souls Christmas, Saturday at the Morgan University Center at Austin Peay State University. It was a new day and a new location for the event which featured free meals, clothing, family photos, gifts for all ages and much more.

Jon Vaughn with Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries, hosts and organizers of Warm Souls Christmas, said in the first two hours over 800 people had made their way through the many activities going on and there were still two hours to go in the event. Also, close to 1,000 volunteers took time out of their weekend just before Christmas to make it a special time for those in need.

The Clarksville Transit System got on board in the holiday spirit and as they have each year provided free rides from the Transit Center to and from the APSU campus.

Vaughn said this about Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries and what Warm Souls Christmas is all about. “We just want to show the love to the community. Were her to show Jesus’ love and let people know there are people out here that want to give people Christmas even if they can’t afford it or don’t have a place to go, we want to provide Christmas for them.
