The nationwide program, initiated by Farmers Insurance, helps active duty military personnel transition to civilian work and life.

Farmers Insurance, Marcalee Baxter, Greer Carr Agency recently collected over 210 pieces of dress clothing for the Suits for Soldiers program. They gave the clothes to the local USO located at 1885B Fort Campbell Blvd. on Thursday, Dec 15.

The official program ended November 30, but Baxter’s office is going to continue collecting dress clothes due to a growing need in the area.

More than one million military personnel will be making the transition from the military in the next couple of years’ according to the Department of Defense office of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Many of these veterans do not own appropriate business attire to go to interviews or work. Each piece of clothing donated brings Suits of Soldiers closer to its goal of collecting 50,000 suits.
