CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A couple was arrested Monday after both the man and woman told police they were assaulted by the other.

According to police reports, 32-year-old Keshawn Drayton told police her boyfriend, 45-year-old Shawn Jones, assaulted her in their hotel room while they were arguing about money. She said Jones grabbed her neck from behind and began choking her.

He then left the room and Drayton locked the door.

A second report says Drayton eventually let Jones back in the room, and when he entered he said she was holding a knife and told him to leave her alone.

The report says Jones reached for the black steak knife and his hand was cut in the process.

An earlier release from police said Jones walked from the hotel on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. to the Holiday Dr. police precinct to report an alleged stabbing. Police said he did have a wound on his hand.

Jones was arrested after receiving treatment at Tennova Healthcare. He was charged with aggravated assault and his bond was set at $5,000.

Drayton was also arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $25,000.
