NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Justin Timberlake is donating the Gibson guitar played at the CMA Awards on November 4, 2015 to the USO Nashville and USO Fort Campbell for an upcoming silent auction fundraiser.
The nostalgic “Big Band Bash” fundraiser will support the mission of the USO locally. The event will include activities reminiscent of the World War II era, most notably the energy and excitement of a dance.
The event will be held Saturday, November 7 from 7-11 p.m. at Lane Motor Museum, 702 Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37210.
Guests will also have an opportunity to bid on a variety of silent auction items that will fit any budget. Party goers will fill and design stocking stuffer snack bags for the children at Fort Campbell that attend the USO Holiday Open House and those traveling through USO Nashville over the holidays.
Timberlake wanted to support the organization by donating a meaningful autographed item. With the CMA Awards just a few days before the event, it was a wonderful addition. The performance was a duet with 2015 CMA New Artist of the Year, Chris Stapleton.

“The generous donation by Justin Timberlake is so meaningful for us,” Kari Moore, Center Director, USO Nashville and USO Fort Campbell said. “He has worked with the USO in the past, including a lunch he hosted for troops at the USO Fort Campbell in 2014. We are thrilled to accept his donation and find an excited fan that will want to join the Big Band Bash and enter the winning bid to take this guitar home for the holidays.”
The USO Nashville provides a comfortable “home away from home” for troops and their families as they travel for business or leisure. The center has comfortable seating, video games, a children’s play area, and a snack bar. The USO Nashville participates in the “Families of the Fallen” program, which supports families traveling to Dover Air Force Base for the dignified transfer of their fallen service members. This center is expanding to the Nashville MEPS location this fall.
The USO Fort Campbell offers a lounge, video gaming, computer services, and family programming to the troops at Fort Campbell. Popular programs include the weekly Warrior Wednesday, which provides free lunch for Active Duty troops, and the monthly Dawna’s Dinners, which is a free family dinner and activity. This fall, the USO Fort Campbell is opening a transition assistance program for Soldiers transitioning back to civilian life.
