CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are looking for s suspect who allegedly stabbed another man during an argument Wednesday night.

Police said the 35-year-old victim and his girlfriend had given the suspect, 22-year-old Dalton Lawrence, a ride to a home on Golden Drive to hang out with friends. While the victim and his girlfriend were inside, Lawrence took the victim’s 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier without permission.

Lawrence later returned to the home without the car. He and the victim began arguing and Lawrence allegedly stabbed the victim in the stomach and arm. He also threatened the victim’s girlfriend with the knife. He fled the scene before officers arrived.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt. He is in stable condition.

Lawrence is wanted for two counts of aggravated assault and theft of a motor vehicle. He is described as a white male with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He is 5’11” and weighs 160 pounds.
