HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A man has died in Hopkinsville after he was shot, fled the scene, and crashed his vehicle.

Hopkinsville police responded to a shooting incident Saturday just before 2 p.m. that occurred in the parking lot of the Marathon service station located at East 9th Street and Campbell Street.

Police said 24-year-old Tarone Kiaire Williams, of Hopkinsville, was shot while he was outside of the Marathon by an unknown suspect.

After being shot, Williams left the Marathon parking lot driving westbound on East 9th Street and collided into another vehicle approximately one block away.

When police arrived, Williams was unresponsive and was pronounced dead by Christian County Deputy Coroner at the scene.
