CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A vehicle pulling a 16-ft. trailer crashed into 2nd Chance 24-Hour Bail Bonding on Providence Blvd. Tuesday afternoon and the driver is facing multiple charges, including DUI.
Police said witnesses saw a man slumped over in the seat of a 2001 Ford Expedition with a trailer, traveling north on Providence Blvd. around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.
The vehicle crossed the continuous left turn lane and two southbound lanes, went off the roadway, and crashed into 2nd Chance 24-hour Bail Bonding at 208 Providence Blvd.

The building was unoccupied at the time of the crash. Police said the driver of the vehicle, Richard Hardy, failed field sobriety tests.
Hardy, 46, of Clarksville, was taken into custody, booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with: DUI, driving on a revoked/suspended license, failure to exercise due car, violation of implied consent, compliance with financial responsibility (insurance) and he was served with a contempt warrant. His bond was set at $12,000.
The investigators are Officer Martin and Officer Carman.
